But I'm going to go look at that MFT tomorrow. I'll try to take pictures. I am not going to say anything to Tony until I feel that he's worth mentioning. It's raining tomorrow so I can't ride him most likely...so I might not know that much byone meeting but at least I'll know about his ground manners.
I haven't had a secret in years. If I keep giggling at the computer Tony is going to know something is up for sure. I feel so naughty and I haven't even done anything.
Even if I decide the horse fits us....Tony might still say no and I'd have to respect that. He does the horse chores right along with me and if he doesn't want to take on the extra work or expense of a third horse. I'll just have to respect that.....right?
Right? lol
I'm still giggling. This is definately an illness

Good luck Ruth. Let us know right away if he is worth a second look. Maybe we can get down there on the weekend.

Ok, for future reference I am apparently the world's worst secret keeper. I cracked like a nut this morning and told Tony about the MFT. I asked him not to say anything until I was finished. Then I told him all about him.
And he said.....are you going to count that at my birthday present? His birthday is tomorrow.
I was shocked. Stunned. He didn't say no.
I explained how the horse might not fit us at all.....and how we won't know that much from today's meeting. And he said he trusts my judgement. Said that I picked 2 great horses so far so he has no doubt I will be careful when I choose our next.....and he said that he knows that Snowy is quickly becoming unridable.
The only thing holding us back now from getting a horse is the expense of the purchase. We have lawyers in our family so I'm going to check out covering ourselves if we free lease this winter with the option to buy in the spring. I suppose I'd have to get a vet check before to make sure he starts off sound.
I feel great about this....so great that it doesn't even matter if I decide to get this horse or not. Tony amazed me again. If this is not the horse for us then at least I know he's open to us finding one that will fit in here.
Yippeee :love

Oh Goody, horse shopping FOR REAL!!!!!!! :D
good for you Tony.
Ruth it stopped raining, get going and test out this guy!
If you free lease, you can get an insurance policy on him. It is not terribly expensive.
