Some of the pics of TyGs show the mane trimmed or braided. Is this typical for TyGs?

You know what I have heard, but not sure if it is a fact...is if you shave a foal's mane and/or tail it will grow out much thicker. And who doesn't LOVE thick manes and tails!?

Here is an article I just found about mane & tail trimming for Andalusians. Not for PFs, and the tail definitely not for TyGs, but interesting, nonetheless.

Manes can be cut to flatter a horse's neck/head shape:

I've only seen one here with a long mane, it is customary to roach them. The stallions which had a long mane now has a roached mane though.
