I made reservations today for my youngest Paso to go to the trainer for under saddle training.
I just had all shots & coggins done, so as soon as the coggins comes in the mail, he goes :lol:
I believe he'll be an easy one, as he is level headed, and calm. From what I have seen at liberty he is well gaited.
It's about time the bugger had a job ;-)
So hopefully about 3 months after he's started we will get to try him out.
We used to train all our own babies, but time has become an issue. I sent my mare to the same trainer and was quite happy with the results, and this horse is much less quirky so I expect him to less labor intensive.
Anyway, wish us luck.

Is the trainer far from you, Paula? Will you be able to go see your horse often and take pics and give us updates? Are you training him to show, or as a personal trail mount?

She's about 2.5 hours away, so we will try to see him once a month+/-

He's being trained as personal trail mount. Although he is most likely show quality. His sire & dam were successful, as well as his siblings. I just have been there and done that with shows, they hold very little appeal for me.
