Mel, I certainly understand your trepidition. I am debating cutting my hair off. It seems since I retired, I wear it back all the time now and I'm tired of the weight on my neck.

Now, the next step is to find a hairstyle I could live with and then get brave enought to go through with it.

Good luck. One nice thing about hair...it grows back.

Cheating on your hairdresser....how naughty!

You know you're gonna feel all guilty while you're doing it, don'tcha?

Hopefully you'll get just the haircut you want. But with drinking a few beers, it will look really super I'm sure. I would have to give up the 3 hour drive guy. My hair's not worth it ;-)

They give beer at the hair dressers now? I may have to go back then! *grin*

Personally, I've not had my hair cut by a professional for about 12 years ... and nobody's any the wiser! (Dunno if that says something bad about my ex-hairdresser or something good about my ability to cut the hair on the back of my head without a mirror! And, yes, I'm a confirmed short hair person. The shorter I wear it, the younger I look!)

Who's drinking the beers...you or the hairdresser???  ;-)

Actually I've moved several times in the last fifteen years and it always entailed finding a new hairdresser. I maintain that finding a good beautician is more important than finding a new doctor...

I've been lucky and found a few good ones...I LOVE the one I have now...a little Hispanic lady by the name of Delia...and my daughter found her first, actually. She does all the young college girls' hair and is very good. One day she came out with a wonderful jelly roll and coffee for me, and another when I had a friend with me, she served us each a glass of WINE!!! :D
She always has bowls of chocolates and other candies sitting around.
It's like going to a party going to see her!

Beer and wine huh? I'm not sure if that is legal in Utah. :-?

Might be what it takes to get me to cut my hair though.

Yes, it will come back to get you and you know it. ;-) I am telling John on you.

Remember what happened last time you went somewhere else.

I think it is legal in Utah but only at governement owned hairdressers. Ya'll have even stranger alcohol laws than we do and that is scary.

Mel,
Are you going through the middle aged crazies early???

First you cheat on the farrier, now the hairdresser. What's up with that?

Though I must admit, any hairdresser thet serves alcohol is ok by me!

So, where are the photo's of the new do????

You have beautiful hair! And the braces will be off before you know it. I got braces when I was in my 30's and thought I'd NEVER get them off but I'm so glad now that I went ahead and got them. They were well worth the pain and trauma!

Thanks guys.

My hair is my naturalish color. I had highlights 2 years ago but nothing since. It tends to highlight itself when I get out in the sun.

Now Miss Starr has lovely haircolor. Her is naturally PLATINUM blonde.

I like the cut too. :D
But you are so in trouble w/your hairdresser.

The last time I cheated on my Miami hairdresser w/my old Houston hairdresser....well....let's just say I still have not heard the end of it.

hmmm, Mell your hair and face shape are a lot like mine. That style still looks long enough to pull back, but short enough not to give you a sore neck. Very nice.

Tempting too.

But, now I'm nervous about this hairdresser jealous stuff. If you upset one, do they butcher your hair???

It depends....
If the new hairdresser messed ya up pretty bad...you may have to beg the old one to fix it for you.

Mel, please don't cut your hair...it is gorgeous & healthy! Just layer it, or something.
