Here is a photo taken last weekend of Mela, myself, Viseaux the foal, Dawn and her horse Banjo who is the Sire. Banjo was gelded last August, and Viseaux who was born in May, was gelded last weekend. Dawn has bought the baby, it was a very hard decision on my part, but I decided I really didn't want to be riding a 3 yr. old when I am 60. I know he will be taken care of with Dawn, who is one of my best friends, and I can see him anytime I want to. http://pic16.picturetrail.com/VOL653/3351177/7910247/223853950.jpg

Yes, they gelded Benjo last August. Dawn wanted to be able to ride him more, and he has made an Excellant gelding. Carol, Dawn and I are the 2 Grammies, as we think of our horses as our kids.

That is really neat!
How tall is your mare? She looks huge!

She is close to 15 hands, I have never gotten a good measure on her. She is way bigger than I wanted, but she is so nice to ride. She is the smoothest horse I have ever been on. She really attracts attention when we leave camp. I do a lot of guiding out of our campground, and so lots of non-paso people are fastenated by her quick, short steps. By the time we get back in from riding, she has certainly impressed a lot of TWH &MF people, and QH people are wanting to know if she is for sale.
I bred to a smaller stud, but the baby is going to be at least her size, and by gelding him young, maybe taller. That is a minus in my mind, but the majority of people like the bigger Paso's

Nice looking horses... and nice looking weather! Lucky you.
I am just procrastinating putting all my snow stuff on to go out for a ride... It's likely still wet from toboganning this morning. Though that was fun.
Yep, that foal looks like it plans on getting very tall!
