What a week it's been, eh? Holy smokes!

BUT..... things are looking up.

The boy will be going to a friend's to stay over, so I am childfree for the 24 hours, I have no errands to run, and best of all, ham is on sale at the deli! http://www.smileyvillage.com/smilies/evilgrin0010.gif

Well, I'm sure Nito is going to think I'm NUTS, but we're having an unseasonably WARM winter this year. Actually, we've broken record highs for days and days and days on end. It's unreal.

Our temperatures are ranging from 45-55 F. Believe it or not, there are city folk out there in SHORTS! As for us country mice, you just can't keep us indoors when it's this hot in January!

If this were average for a winter, I'd have to say that this would be the PERFECT climate ... not too hot in summer, not too cold in winter ... enough of a change between summer and winter to keep a person mentally and emotionally sharp. (Unfortunately, this ain't normal. Normal for today would be approximately -5 to +5 F.)

:jawdrop WARM ? lol

I have to agree Nito. Your freezing weather is warm weather here. I was walking around with just a sweater yesterday and the day before. It was in the 40's. Unseasonably warm.

An American Legion with no alcohol, and no brats, seventy miles away, LOL. It has a HUGE floating floor, half that will be filled with Dance of the Living Dead (aka old people two-stepping), and the band is a redneck country band, but it IS dancing, and it has been a whole week, so we're going!

Now you listen here, Miss Poni! I LIKE two-stepping! And I ain't dead! *grin*

Do have a wonderful time.

PS...Nito, I lied. I did the conversion wrong. It is a HEAT WAVE up here ... but the temperatures are only averaging 25-35 F, though we did have one day that it got up to 43F. (It took YEARS to learn to think in Celsius, but now I don't seem to be able to think Fahrenheit anymore!) Today we're going to hit 34! That is an AMAZINGLY high temperature for here in January! I'm going out and clipping a mess o' hooves this afternoon.
