Sorry but the pics aren't the greatest....Dave likes to put his finger in front of the camera and he was using a disposable.

We went for a 3 hour trail ride out in Eustis, Florida this past Sunday. Nice weather, ended up warming up to ~80 degrees.

Eight of us went and we all rode Paso Finos :D

The trail we take starts out in this fern garden. I am on Legado, in my Gator gear ;-) , Juan on his mare, and Michael on my gray mare, Alegria.

This is the lake you get to ride around.

We ended up riding in a huge cow pasture, we tried catching up to the cows, but they didn't want to have anything to do with us.

I got the camera from Dave and took a pic of him with Mars, our 22 yo gelding.

Here we are taking a break waiting for a few brave souls who went on a little bit further. We stayed because of the bee hives, you can see them on the right side of the photo. The lady in the light blue shirt was deathly allergic to them. Michael is riding Alegria (my mare), then Sandra is riding Michael's mare, the dark one, then I am riding Legado and I can't remember the other lady's name. Sorry!

On the way back we ran into some other riders enjoying the great weather. Jose, in the red cap, has been on here before as Hacienda Mis Suenos.

Supposed to go again Superbowl Sunday....Dave says no way, but I think if I go, I can get home before the game. He isn't going to take a chance.

What great weather to ride in.

Is that cactus? I guess of all the things to see growing in Florida I never expected cactus for some reason.

It looks like so many diiferent types of terrain, how neat!

Yep, Jenn, that is cactus. There was a lot of it so most of the time you had to keep your eyes on the ground to make sure you didn't run into any of it.

Sorry Barb, Mr. Yummy had pockets that he could keep the camera in so he was desinated picture taker.

Leila....you and Ellis can join us anytime! Anybody who can make it is welcome. The more the merrier :D We are probably going again on Feb. 4th, Superbowl Sunday. Trying a different trail this time out in Eustis.

I have no clue what all of you are going through with snow....I've never even seen the stuff in person! A cold front is coming through here, but only getting down to the 30's. I can barely stand that so I really feel for you guys!

I ditto what Carol said. I have stayed away from this thread because of the title. Disgusting.

I think I've seen those cows before though.

I just love the look of the trail in the first photo. I have the urge to go on a nice green trail ride and not have to bundle up!!!! We are going to try to go down and visit Jose . I want to see how our foals are doing. If we get down there - we'll have to make a trail ride together!

Swaite, Jose and I were talking about that! He said you guys might be coming down. We will definately get together a ride when you are in town.

Sorry .....thought maybe the thread would warm you guys up!

KAB, yep, it's my new barefoot. Yes I am liking it a lot. Wasn't sure at first, but I gave it a few rides like you suggested.

Not sure about the placement of it, here's a pic I took of it on Legado:
