Well we dropped ChaChi off at the trainers yesterday. It was his first time trailering by himself, so we left him loose (stock trailer). He rode fine. He was a bit nervous when he got off the trailer but he settled right in.

He is intended to be my husbands horse.

My husband just bought a new (to us) Toyota truck for him to drive to work since his car is literally falling apart. So last night when we got home from delivering ChaChi, I looked at the truck & said "whats up with this? You get a new truck AND a new horse to ride, I guess I'll have to take one of them for myself. He says I knew that was coming, I'm surprised it took you so long to claim the truck. I say, I'm not taking the truck, I want the horse. And he said you are NOT getting the horse. My husband is willing to give up the nicest vehicle we have ever owned, to keep the horse as his ride. I've got a cool husband!

Below is a photo of ChaChi. I put a stick on him and he is a solid 14.2. I have no doubt he'll be a great ride, and I also think he'll have a heck of a largo

He looks like he will be a great horse for a guy. I like those "stout" horses. Wish my husband showed some interest in horses...Lucky You!!!

Wow...nice boy! He looks like he'll be able to carry Hubby with no problem!
Look at that Paso grin on Hubby's face too! ;-)

Lets see, his sire is Anhelante Sin Par (Andande Sin Par x Pandereta Sin Par). His sire was a reserve champion bella forma colt as a yearling I think.

His dam is the chestnut mare I ride Regalada (Cerezo Segundo x Cleopatria). Regalada has 190+ points in the Pleasure division. I don't know if thats a lot of points but it sounds good to me

On his papers he has Plebeyo, & El Pastor. He's definately substantial, no little wispy bones on him. His head is not to my liking as it's not refined enough. But, I think he'll be one heck of a ride. He's bold and forward. That will make him a good match for my husband!

Photo taken yesterday. He's 4 soon to be 5. Somehow a whole year slipped by when I wasn't looking. He is mature so no worries about soft tissue, bones or mental issues. He's ready!

I spoke with the trainer last night. ChaChi is doing well. It seems he had an "issue" with the cross ties. He flung himself to the ground, laid there a minute then got up and decided it was much better to stand as asked :-?
He was saddled with no issues (we have saddled him before). Then he was lunged both ways. She says he is very right hoofed and will need lots of left flexing. She seemed pleased with his response. My guess is she be on him in a week to 10 days. She did say he is VERY well gaited and has a big stride. She agrees with me that he should be able to smoke at the largo.

This is GOOD news as we have a need for speed. His Dam has a great largo, and I think he'll be faster.

Now I just need to work on Favio's largo. It's in him, I just need to bring it out.
