that's so funny. My mom has a horse friend and when she told her we were getting into Paso Finos she referred to them as crazy show horses and then she had a boarder with a few and has now totally turned to Pasos herself.

My mom even loves the Pasos.

It's so true though - even kids ride and handle the stallions in our breed. How many other breeds can boast that??

LOL! I'm not sure where in PA - I think somewhere near Philly. If you have any paso for sale or know someone with a nice pleasure trail horse I bet she'd be happy to get contacted (especially with pics). She left an ad under "wanted" in the classifieds if you want to contact her.

Oh - and Lori, she'll be riding a few sale horses so who knows....maybe she'll buy! I wanted her to check out this gorgeous bay that Luis at Buttermilk has for sale too. He's soooooo pretty. I'm gonna have Luis send me pics so I can post him in here. He's real spanish looking. ;-)

oh there are a lot of Paso owners in that corner/side of the state!Tell her to come to the PA Expo in Harrisburg Next month and intro herself..There is also going to be a both at Delaware Expo (I think thats April??)

:D Welcome.The first ride is an event you will never forget even if you have ridden :prancer gaited horses before,But if going from trotting horses to paso finos be prepared for the famous paso smile, it is so hard to wipe off your face it may become a permanent thing. :D I always thought if your expecting it & you are real good at poker :mrgreen: you can negotiate and say it is no big deal :twisted: and bring the price down but when you fly without wings then you will see what I am talking about, the physical universe as you know it may very well be entirely gone :bolts . :shock: Let us know if you see pegasus or unicorns like I did when I first rode one. Oh yes one is not enough .......Like lays potato chips but that is .... :roll: the rest of the story :-? :confused ,and to be continued on the paso chit chat forum and the classifieds trade sell and buy page.

hi everyone! thanks kimberly for introducing me and everyone else for welcoming me... i'm really excited to be getting into pasos! so far the people have been awesome! actually my first ride was a little weird because the horse i rode kept trying to go and i was having a hard time keeping him from cantering and then the second one was a horse that had just started training so i think the combination of me having no idea what i'm doing on a paso and that made it hard for me to actually feel out the gaits! but they were really sweet horses and i am going to try to ride a few that know what they are doing because i'm really clueless on a paso hahaa. i'm almost embarassed for you guys to see me ride because i feel like a total beginner! but i guess i just need practice!

i live right outside philadelphia, so if anyone knows of more pasos for sale in this area, let me know! thanks!

Quite a few people I know have horses there....
Karen & Tizzy have 3 there I think.
Sandy has like 4 million pasos - and they are all there....
Debbie Ramsay has a few.
I have one and soon Erin will have one. It used to be a private barn but now they are taking training horses...

okay well in that case, i will be there even if they have to wheelchair me in! which actually isn't so far from possible my bro had to wheelchair me around disney once, haha, but i've been much better lately and i will save up all my energy (last weekend i didn't do anything the whole weekend just so i would be okay sunday, i am such a loser haha) but especially if i go up the night before....

Yea - if you go up the night before you could sleep in that morning. We probably won't be there before 10AM so you could just rest and then meet us there. The house you could stay in is on the property - just down the street a little. It's beautiful...

You really will have so much fun and I'm dying to meet you!! We all are! And good news - the barn/indoor arena is heated!!!! ;-)

hi everyone! just wanted to say i GOT MY NEW HORSE! i rode him on saturday and i fell in love, he is AMAZING, so smooth and even though he just started his training he took care of me, i had no idea what i was doing but i could tell he was gaiting just from how smooth it was... and his canter was smooth too! i never wanted to get off, which is rare for me because i'm usually in too much pain to ride for long... but anyway he was also soo sweet, i could tell he was trying really hard to do what i asked... anyway so i will try to post some pics if i can figure out how to do it.... :D :D :D

if you go to that page, he is the 7th horse down, Tomas de Premier... and you can see a pic of him and it tells about him and his bloodlines. well his parents, i don't know any of the horses yet so i don't know any of his bloodlines! he is a total sweetie though!
