First off... Lori, I hope it is ok to post this here. if not, please let me know and I apologize.

As mentioned earlier on the other thread, the Eastern Canada PFHA (ECPFHA) will be having a fundraiser sale and auction at their next meeting on February 3rd. As part of that sale, there will be some stallion breedings donated for auction. Because ECPFHA has a small amount of members and we would like to raise as much funds as possible, we are going to open up the bidding now and it will close at the end of February. Basically, here is how it will work:
Below is a list of stallions that have donated breedings. If you would like to bid on a breeding you can respond here (or by private message) and that bid will act as a reserve on the day of the sale (Feb 3rd, 2007). UPDATE: AUCTION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL MIDNIGHT FEBRUARY 28TH, 2007. Unless otherwise stated, the bid amount is for stud fee only and buyer is responsible for shipping and collecting fees.
If anyone wishes to donate any more stallion services, by all means contact me and have your stud added to the list.

5. Eminente de MiLE PFHA#13432 -
UPDATE: In lieu of a breeding being auctioned, the owners of Eminente have made the following offer: For every paid stud fee generated in February, we will donate $200 to the York fund and free mare care (excluding medical/vet/transportation fees) up to 2 months or a $100 credit on A.I. expenses.
Eminente is one of the few remaining direct sons of the legendary Coral LaCE who is still breeding to outside mares
owner: Sandy Mixon

6. Bronce de Vez - son of Sundancer Mako (Coral LaCE son) who was featured in the National's issue of ShowTime magazine in the article 'Blind Faith' and who was in the Top Four of the final field at the 2006 National's Largo Race.
We had a full page ad on the back inside cover of the 2006 fall issue of The Gaited Horse magazine and would be happy to send flyers of that ad to any interested bidders.
The Coral bloodlines are known world-wide for natural gait, substance, and sensible disposition. It is getting harder to find these bloodlines close up, so this is an excellent breeding opportunity.
Donated by owner: Sandy Mixon.

7. Postin de Petrolero
'Postin de Petrolero’ is a very handsome 15 hh dappled gray Paso Fino stallion. His pedigree is a 'who's who of great Fino horses'. He is a son of two-time World Fino Champion, Petrolero de Juncal, a World Champion Fino Stallion and has the bloodlines of Plebeyo, Monarca de Besilu, Chucano, Bochica and Contrapunto. He epitomizes the best of Paso Fino type, with the addition of exceptional size, temperament and refinement.
Donated by owner: Jeannie Harris, Forest Gait Farm

8. Hechicero de Silencio

Hechicero (or Zairo as we call him) is a big Cremello Paso Fino colt
that is guaranteed to put colour on your foals! Not only does he have
two cream genes, but he also carries a dun modifier. Zairo currently
stands over 14.3 HH, and he has not yet reached his third birthday, so
you know he is going to be big! Zairo comes by his size naturally - his
sire is one of the few Paso Finos ever that has reached 16hh, and his
dam also stands over 15.1 hh. Zairo's dam is a very muscular athletic
mare that excelled at both team penning and gymkhana events, while still
maintaining a super smooth gait! This mare has also spent years carrying
riders over trails and has put in long hours hunting in the mountains.
Zairo has the same body type as his Dam. He is big and strong and
athletic, while still maintaining a natural gait. This colt was
specifically bred to produce the big, muscular, smooth gaited horses
that are so in demand in the west today. With a pedigree that trace back
to Coral LaCe on the top side and Lunares on both the top and bottom
sides, we know that this colt has the blood lines to back up his size
and colour!
Size, colour, personality, athleticism and smooth gait... what more
could any one ask for in a stallion?
Currently we have only done live cover with this colt because of his
youth, but collection for A.I. could likely be arranged.
Breeding donated by Sundown Gaited Horses of Lamont Alberta

9. Cavalier QC
1998 dappled gray stallion
(Petrolero del Juncal x Mirabela de Ameripaso)

This elegant son of World Champion stallion, Petrolero del Juncal, has a pedigree that goes back to some of the most notable bloodlines in our breed today; Bochica, Resorte Cuarto, Contrapunto and Nevado. Shown successfully as a 3 and 4 year old in Pleasure stallions he has accumulated many points. This stallion passes on to his offspring his natural, smooth gait, his classic looks and most of all his wonderful disposition. Standing at 14:3 hands he will also add size, refinement and beautiful looks to your foals. You are welcome to come anytime and visit Cavalier QC at the farm in Coldwater ON, just off Hwy 400, north of Barrie ON. (Live Foal Guarantee Shipped cooled semen or live cover)

Camilla,
I certainly don't speak for Lori, but I think you should post this on the sales forum also. Please read about proper protocal prior to posting. If you need help Carol Nelson or myself will be happy to help!

Many people check that area and do not check the other area's. You need to draw anyone with an interest in a "good deal stud fee".

I commend the stallion owners that are donating the service. As well as all those that are trying to help the York Family!

Camilla - I just sent an email to the NEPFHA BOD with the ino, and I am going to see if we can get something up on our website too about the benefit auction.

Is it OK if I just copy/paste including photos if I get the go-ahead for our website?

Lisa

Paula,
thanks for info. Would you or Carol be able to post that there for me? I don't want to mess up stuff re: protocol.
I like the idea of the "good deal stud fee" subject.

Should I remove this post from here?

Lisa, thanks so much if you could do that. I am sure it is ok to copy and paste.
Also please note the generous donation of 2 breedings from Sandy M:

New Stallions added:
5. Eminente de MiLE PFHA#13432 - one of the few remaining direct sons of the legendary Coral LaCE who is still breeding to outside mares.

I hope Sandy can post pics of these stallions here. Thank You! :D

Abejita,
I was thinking the same thing. I will propose this to our exec, as once again it seems the best option for raising the most funds.
thanks again!

Note:

I had an inquiry about whether people could place bids on different stallions, though they only wish to get one breeding.
This is how that can work:
Anyone placing multiple bids on different stallions who ends up with top bid on more than one stallion, but only wishes one breeding, may forfeit their second choice. The next highest bidder on the forfeited breeding then becomes the top bid. This forfeit of bid will only be allowed where people have bid on multiple horses. Hope that is clear. thanks!
