For my horse Regala. She has been lame on her right fore leg for about 2 months now, and the vet thinks she may have a torn ligament. :( We are taking her up to the Hassinger Equine Clinic this week to get ultrasounds and try to see whats wrong. At the least, I won't be able to ride for 6-12 months. Just send your prayers this way please. Thanks!

Yes. Something simple that heals quickly and completely. Perhaps a torn ligament that she keeps reinjuring and that is why it hasn't healed yet. Heat wraps, support and then rest on good ground. Hopefullly not a whole year..but if that's what it takes to get a sound horse, that is a small price to pay.

You can do a lot of ground work in that time.

Thank everyone so very much!!! Yes, hopefully it will heal more quickly than proposed, so we'll see. She is the absolutely sweetest horse in the world, and my sister and I showed her last year and did really well. We planned to do the same this year, but I'd rather have a sound horse that doesn't hurt than show this year anyway.
