Here's some yearling pics of Rosa and some pics of the mountain I live on.
I was playing hide and seek with her when I got the ones with her by the trees.I would run to a tree and she would too then i'd poke my head around each side as she did too.Oops sorry,I meant to show another peak as well but ended up posting two of the same one. This is the one I live on.Your friend,Moniece

Wow, I can't believe Rosa is a year old already! She is really big looking. It's funny how her mane splits half way down her neck to go on the other side. Solana's does the same thing and it drives me crazy! You have some nice property there and a pretty mountain!

Oh I know, that split mane half on one side and half on the other drives me crazy and her dirty tail is driving me crazy too,I can hardly wait for spring when I can wash it!I've been really thinking about getting a mane tamer for her to get it all on the one side.I have really been enjoying playing with her alot!Chica kinda gets in on it too and the three of us have a good time. It's hard to believe that in two short years i'll beable to ride her!Solana looks big too! They really do grow up so fast! Thanks for the complement on my property!I really hoped we'd be started on building a house by now but I guess waiting one more year isn't going to kill me.Your friend,Moniece

Wow...she looks good, Moniece...nice round butt, looks like she has a substantial chest...nice neck! You did good, girl!
I love your property and your view...do you live on it? (You mentioned building a house so I didn't know if you lived somewhere else).

Your hay looks wonderful, by the way...after the last couple of years here...in this drought, I notice things like that! ;-)

We do live here on the property, but in the brown moble home in the picture. Living in a single wide with little storage, the dogs, and cats is just too much,I want my house...my real house. We bought and paid for the land eight or so years ago then two years ago came and cut trees, got an address, septic system and water line, water, and electric and bought this moble pretty cheap to live in till we can build our house.Right now we're working on cutting trees out of the pasture. We didn't want the mess a dozer would make and wanted to pick and choose the trees to go so we chose to cut the trees our selves.Over 300 now with alot more to go.He cuts them and I drag the brush to small piles to burn when the wind is still and it's damp enough. Our log splitter has paid for its self a million times over lol.

I'm very tickled with how Rosa is turning out and growing up and can hardly wait to see what I have when she turns three and goes for training!!!I'm not going to do her training myself,i'm going to pick a specifically paso trainer that I feel I can trust 200 percent.I don't care if it takes two months or six months I want to see what she's got.Anyway, thank you all for your complements on her,I sure am proud of her!!Your friend,Moniece

She looks really good there Moniece. She sure has grown up since I have been on APF.

As for the split mane, Trinket had that but after a few months, she got an adult mane in. Hers was pretty fluffy where it parted on both sides. She was just over a year.

Hopefully Rosa keeps all that mane.

Keep doing what you are doing, because she will just continue to blossom.

Isn't that funny Carol? I was going to say the exact same things! One of the first things I noticed...how big she has gotten and that pretty hay!

Rosa is really getting to be a big girl! She is gonna be a nice one.

Moonrize wrote>>Not hurting for any groceries either

LOL!!No,none of my babies wether dog, cat, horse or goat are lacking any groceries or love and attention..still laughing.I don't like them getting too fat but I do watch the horses and goats weight more in the summer than durring winter.

Carol N..You wouldn't believe how happy I was to find that hay!It was 3.25 a bale, ggod sized bales and I bought the rest of what he had on the spot!Everyone in the area was selling high and shiping theirs out but this guy stuck to his guns and said he was taking care of the people here that needed it and at his regular price.Guess who will get all my business.

Jenn thanks for the tip on Trinket's mane!I think i'll go ahead and wait till summer to see what Rosa's does instead of being in a hurry to buy a mane tamer.
Thanks to everyone for watching, with me, our APF golden child grow up!!!Your friend,Moniece

Nice job Monice!Good for you for getting her a trainer. We lived in a trailer for 7 yrs. till we could save enough to start our house. Then we did ALOT of the work ourself.Took two years to finish it but we saved alot of money.I can tell ya one thing for sure----building a house together sure can test a marriage!!!!! But we've been married for 36 yrs. now.The house building was back in the 80's.
