Apparently this has been on her mind and she would like to know if any Pasos have ever been named:
Paso Aggressive
Keep in mind it is February in New England and we are all getting a bit punchy. Anyway she thinks this is a great name, particularly for a mare. I think she is just jealous she doesn't have a paso. In fact she showed me a picture of her qrt horse today disguised as a Paso with a fake forelock.
Can anyone think of any Pasos that should have been named Paso Aggressive (I can think of one in my barn) and what would the Spanish translation be???
We will all feel better in the Spring.
My nickname for Totoa is The Dragonqueen. is that aggressive enough? ;-) i think the below zero weather is getting to me.
sorry, Terri, no spanish here.

I believe a Paso Fino horse named "Paso Aggressive" needs to be owned by a counselor, psychologist or psychiatrist.

We did know a doctor whose boat was namee Spirochete. I guess he made all his money treating STD's???
I agree - only a shrink would name their paso "Aggressive". Very cute.

My alpha mares all prefer the term "Paso Assertive."

I have to make a correction. Our fearless leader pointed out the following:
HEY, the part about Simba trying to pass himself off as a Paso (Paso Passoff?) was really incorrect, he is now the new spokeshorse for
“I can’t believe it’s not sweet feed”!
Yes, we are definitely getting punchy.

Okay...so this is a joke, right? Or is she really concerned that our Pasos will be complete punks in the show ring, and beat (up) the qtr horses?

Just some fun word play. My pasos are favorites at the 4h club and in fact are featured prominately on the website. http://www.secondchancefarm.biz/hottotrots4h.html
Our newest plan is to go into a "paper pairs" class together. She can ride her 17hand warmblood, Simba, and I'll be on Mico. All 13.3 1/2 hands of him. It will be hilarious. I think I'll need a booster saddle. And no, she is not worried about Mico beating up Simba in the show ring. I am not sure Mico can kick that high.

Oh okay, so you two just "rib" each other during cabin fever season..!?
So, what is "paper pairs"...? :D

paper pairs - two horses ride in a team. The riders hold a paper ribbon between them. You are asked to walk/trot/canter/turn....etc. the papers start breaking. Last team holding an intact ribbon wins. We would just increase the challange with our two horses so different in size.

Ha! That would definetely be a challenge on Poco teamed up with probably...anyone. But maybe I can attempt that on my mare this season..?
So, when does show/events season start? Maybe I should go to the meeting on Feb 15th, and turn in my papers/sign up fee, and just hang out and watch/meet ppl..? Are you going?
