And being able to ride in January and not freeze is very unusual. We took out two geldings that are best buddies. They are going to be five this spring and were born the same day. They have the same sire (Enchanted Tomas, a Coral LaCE son) and I probably am hoping for too much but wish someone would want both of them some day so they could go to the same home. I always wonder if they miss each other when one leaves.

And if these pictures duplicate I apologize. Tried to preview the first time and lost it all. Or so I think I did!

Nice pics. Your boys look so sweet. I wonder the same thing about if they miss one another. I believe they would. Someone told me that a horse never forgets its other herd members. If you seperated them and they met yrs later, they would know each other.

Well, I can tell you for sure that a six months seperation doesn't dull their memory!
When Tequila came home from training, he sure recognized his mares! (even though he is a gelding) and he and Candee still dispise each other at feeding time, but he loves his Princess!
I can also say, that when Princess was in Texas with Lori, a total of 5 or 6 years, when we brought her back to the ranch, she remembered everything about it....all the pastures etc. We had put a new cross fence up, that wasn't there when she was home last, and she went tearing around, and hit that fence and flipped over the top of it. She knew it wasn't there before, and she took it for granted that it wasn't there now.
Beuatiful pictures by the way!

Nice pics! I miss riding the trails, I board at a place w/an indoor arena but it just isnt the same! Too cold to trailer out to go anywhere, we could ride in the small 4 acre pasture but it is icy... oh I wish spring were here...
Glad you hada nice ride and I too believe they remember.. ;-)

Looks like a lot of fun, makes me wish I could ride now, but I had Amante's shoes pulled for the season and the trails trashed because of all the snowmobilers.
