Last year a lot of people talked about how good would have been going down to Puerto Rico to the Festival of Champions ... and at the end nobody did ... This year you can if you plan ahead of time ...

The place will be in the Colisuem Pachin Vicens, Ponce PR
Days - August 24 - 27
Folks, this is becoming the event of the year ... Every horse going to this event has to qualify for it ... Unlike the Mundial where any horse can enter by just paying a fee ...

Today Spirit Air just released a special where you could fly round trip to PR from the 22nd to the 28th of August for a total price of $155.70 ... including taxes !! www.spiritair.com

There was a Nike commercial that they used to say: "Just do it!"

For that price I would love to do it, but they don't fly out of Louisiana

Don't forget to get your PASSPORT lined up if you don't have one! ;-)

You are not required to have a passport, to travel from the US to Puerto Rico, or any of the other US Territories, as long as you do not go to a non US held piece of dirt, then try to get back here.

This is only for flying...you can walk, swim, or come in by boat, from anywhere without one, for now.

Thanks for clearing that up Kerry ... I flew back from Puerto Rico last month, (with the new Homeland restrictions already in place), and no passport was required ... 8-) That's another advantage Puerto Rico offers ... is like you are never leaving the USA

Hey..that is good to know.... I'm bummed because I have to have one the next time I go to Mexico... where I go about twice a year....for the last 40 years!

Speaking of passports...anybody know how much they are?

I think they've gone up a few bucks since I got mine. Seems it took six weeks...that was AFTER I had to get birth certificates for hubby and myself...have no idea what happened to the originals. Likey rotted with age. New York was quite pricey...glad I am from podunk Missouri!
