We got a little bit here too ... thank goodness the ice missed us ... but we got over twenty inches of the white fluffy stuff.

Those trees surround the bank of our pond. View is from front door of our barn.

Yep, they are all beautiful pictures, but as MG'S said....I wouldn't want to have to deal with it on a stead basis! I do have to admit, that MIGHT not be as bad as a hurricane, but it is pulling a good second! Ofcourse Tornados are the worst to me! But that snow sure is purty!

I think snow is way less challenging than tornadoes or hurricanes.

You get better advance warning. Generally buildings are left standing. You plow/shovel what you want/need to; it will eventually melt without damaging landscape.

The horses LOVE it. Our one paso mare, Mariquita, actually looked relieved this morning to find the snow STILL outside the barn. She chose to plow through the highest part instead of walking on the nicely shoveled pathway. They couldn't wait to roll and roll and kick up their heels.
