It is 61 degrees here right now! That is like 20 degrees above normal!! I just shed out a garbage bag of hair (with a lot of mud) off the horses! It is amazing!!! I can't believe it!

We have grass turning green and weeds coming up already! We dont' put down our pre-emergent until mid-March!!!

Strange weather....but I'm not complaining!

Yes, and we are having it warm here, too. No wind either like yesterday (had gusts up to 60 miles an hour). I think it's going to be in the 60's tomorrow, too. Terry W. just left my place. She was so wonderful!!! I still have that filly I wrote about in December. Her new owners are building a new barn and shelter and I have been keeping her for them. I thought they would have picked her up by now, but the winter had been so bad, snow, mud, etc....SO I still have her here and her feet NEEDED to be done BAD. I had to cancel my farrier who had been scheduled to come in January (he lives in the mountains and couldn't make it to my place). Terry had visited with me last week and saw the filly's feet. She offered me to trim her....I hadn't worked with the baby much ( I didn't/don't want to get attached to her), but since she is still here....Terry came by and it took as quite a while (WHAT PATIENCE that woman has!!)....but SHE GOT IT DONE.... I am so thrilled. Her feet still need some work, but they look so much better!!!!!! And--- she is going to be registered!!! I only need to pluck her hair...If she will let me catch her again. She is turning out to be a little "pistol". The grain and good hay have "woken" her up from her kind of lethargic state she was in when I first got her. She is quite a willful little thing.
