I'm not saying it's a lot of snow and it HAS been cold as the duce, but the yaks have migrated into the neighborhood. That can't be good

Those cows look built for the weather! How cute!

That's a tad of snow for sure. That's the problem with it, once it's on the ground it keeps your temps low for a long time.

*lol* Yaks, huh? *grin* I have a mess o' those in my back yard ... and 5 babies. The babies look like big plush toys!

As to the snow ... those pictures could have been taken in my back yard too. Only it's been like that for months on end now.

Rose and I went riding today. It was the FIRST time we had a chance to all winter. Thought we'd go in her field after she and her neighbour set track with a snowmobile. No such luck. We went about 100 feet and came back because the horses were up to their bellies in snow.

Fortunately, it was warm enough that the ice on the road was soft so we rode there. My legs are out of shape again. Couldn't ride long before they were aching. I'll have to get practiced up before the Second Annual Paso Fino Friends Get Together and Trail Ride!
