Hi all,
I am trying something new to report on this show.
The link below is to my page, where I have posted results for the 2007 Copa Cialitos, ( PPR Show) if you link click on the Pasolineage area, you can find pedigrees for the mayority of animals.

http://www.arsdelicata.com/results/2007_02_18-copa-cialitos/2007-02-18-cialitos.htm

The goal is to have a good place to quickly look up the bloodlines of PPRs that are out showing today, :-)

I have posted some pics already, and the rest will be up soon.

Now, that was fun! Gorgeous horses. Most of them really show a PR 'type', but what really struck me was the variety of color and the *big* markings.
I LOVE :love PPR horses.

I really enjoyed looking at those pictures. One thing that struck me is how fit and lean the horses look, they all look to be in excellent condition. I find the Paso Finos I see at American shows to be very fat and blubbery in comparison. I would much rather see fit horses in the ring than the cresty necked, fat bottomed horses I see here.

Thanks Jo-Ann! What a fantastic resource!

I was able to "find" another Espectacular horse that was discussed early last year that I was interested in! Now I have a great source to see his phenotype, learn his bloodlines (goody! more pedigree work) and find out who his owner is!!!

Oh that is awesome, that is one of the thinbgs I hope the site can do, let you have a peak into the bloodlines out there today, and the people behind them.

I want to thank all for the nice comments,
also I think the weather here makes the horses sleek and shiny looking, but also perhaps that they have lots of shows to go to to keep them "In Shape".

There was a trhead a while back asking about the condition of PPR horses and it said that many were not in good show shape.

I never responded to that, but it stuck in my head and I always wanted to respond to that.
So, Here Goes,
With out lots of shows it is hard to have a horse ready, I would expect for any show in an area where there are hardly any shows for the horses to be as ready as they would be in an area where you have a show every two weeks.

My opinion is that I would rather see LOTS of animals at a show and I would be forgiving of the condition in such a circumstance.

It would be a great chance to SEE as many animals of the breed as posible, and learn something about them.

If shows become more abundant, then naturally the horses will start getting in better show shape.

Best wishes to all and a thanks for the positive and enthusiastic feedback :D
