I want to see how all of you feel about this one.

Personally, I think that there is much better latin music available. Ricky is washed up and outdated. I think it sends that message about the breed.

Can you tell I am not a fan? ;-)

Personally, I like to see the fino horses working to reggaeton. But that is what is cutting edge here in Miami right now. It might be a tad much for the rest of the country.

I voted yes, but I do like some of his songs.

As to being washed up and outdated...I guess all the classic R&R stations (any station that plays 'oldies' of whatever its genre is) I listen to are playing washed up and outdated music, too?
I like good music/songs. I don't care when they were produced, but I prefer the older stuff. Things I know the words to. Or think I know the words to...case in point: "Dirty deeds I'm the Thunder Chief!"
I think it is personal preference as to which artists people like and do not like. Not everyone will like the same things... You don't like RM, I do. <shrugs>

Oh, and I always thought it was

"Dirty deeds, dunder cheese"

I love music from all time periods, I just don't think Ricky Martin hacks it. I rank him right up there with those guys that did the marcarena. Oh, and don't forget mambo no 5.

CHEESY. :puke

  Mel...you crack me UP...

Anyways, I do like the faster paced music...more exciting....like the reggaeton. But, you're right, Lori, it may be a little over the top for the Kenny Loggins-type listeners....

I think the general public is familiar with his music which is a good thing. Not sure how exactly his music would affect the breed in a negative way. The "chicken dance" (at weddings)is surely outdated but look how people react when they have to get up and do the silly dance. They enjoy it!

We listen to Vallenatos, Bachatas and Reggeaton. It's a good mix

JMHO - doesn't really matter who is playing or singing - depends on the beat and compatability with the demo.drill or if the horses are in sync with it . ;-)

I agree Penny. We went through a LOT of music to decide on something fun and with a beat for our demo.

Try to remember that the people with the $$ in their checkbook who can afford a horse are kind of "old and washed up" too. ;-)
