I have to read a poem for speach class. Can anyone post some for me. Serious or funny poems doesn't matter. Thanks

My favorite is The Road Less Traveled by Robert Frost. It is pretty popular so you might want something more obscure. I thought I would toss it out here anyway.
The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

This is an original...
Once upon a nice spring day, it was just about the middle of May.
I was walking down a country road, when I happened to step on a baby toad.
He shrieked with pain, hopping up and down, and finally he just plain fell to the ground.
He lay there hurt, eyes closed in pain, and I knew if he died, I'd be to blame.
So just at once I took him to the vet, in hopes that he could cure my pet.
He said, "He just has a bump on his head." To give him an asprin and send him to bed.
Well the very next day he was just as fine as could be. So I decided right then I'd set him free.
I set him next to the side of the road, and a truck came along and ran over my toad!
I sure did wish that that truck has missed, but I guess that poor toad was just born to be squished.
