I can't believe it! someone actually attempted to "hit on me" at the package store tonight. I went in to get a little libation to go with my pizza. I was covered in snow, have bad cold (drippy nose and all), wearing an old barn coat and I am ..... well pretty old. At first I thought he was just making small talk about the miserable weather. Then he asked if I was married??? When I said "yes" he said "oh rats" and I ran outta the store. Geeeze.

Umm, Terri, when you saw him, was he returning a LOT of empty bottles, maybe staggering just a bit, or slurring a touch? It is a MAJOR holiday weekend, ya know.

I doubt it was more complicated than a man finding you attractive and wanting to see if you were still on the market. I don't see anything surprising about that. ;-)

I think it's the cold winter affecting their brains here because a month or two ago I was in an auto parts store in my barn clothes and the guy working behind the counter started making comments about the beautiful woman who knew more about auto parts than his employees and of course I looked around and there were no other women in there (no he wasn't a kid). And then when I had my gaucho outfit on and went in the gas station to get a soda another middle ageish guy (still probably young enough to be my son) looked me up and down and gave me a thumbs up and said "look'n good". I almost fainted because talk about old - we're really geezers - like medicare and social security geezers married 42 years. Desperate is what I call them - or maybe sight impaired??!

Now don't you go being so coy, Mrs. Motorgypsy! One only has to look at your avatar to know your claim to geezerhood is more than a tad overstated!
