Got a yearling PPR filly in the paddock with my others yesterday. She's not mine. She is a cutie. Long/short story - just visiting while owners get some marital stuff sorted thru. I'll post some pictures later - that's if she's still alive when I get home ;-)
Edited to Add....Yep - she lived...this is Carmela. She is shaggy, dirty, but VERY correct. Gaits like a son-of-a-gun and is just a sweetie...

Oh, my gosh. She is a doll. I didn't see the post that she was PPR, and my first thought was she looks just like my Cuca as a yearling. She was PPR too. She brought tears to my eyes.
I hope her parents get their marital stuff straight and fly right.

She is cute!! I love that 3rd pic with the water behind her and she is so fluffy. that will be my desktop background when I get to work tomorrow. And that last pic had me holding my breath expecting a squeal from Tia and a little kick to Yeti. He is getting big!!
PS....I also like that your pasture is messier than mine. LOL. My chant is .....I will not complain, I will not complain BUT hate the post-winter hay/poop mess. Yuck!! And I found a benefit to my open windy fields....the snow melts fast!!

Jodi - I am waiting for my york rake to "surface". Even if it did, I still could not get into the paddock with it because of snow and ice. I rode down to check my pasture and the fence along road-side is a mess from the snowplow pushing snow into the line. Needs some major fixing. Can't even get to the back side of the pasture yet. I try to put the horses out there as soon as possible to get them used to grass again before the good stuff comes on.
I'm at home waiting for the vet to come give spring coggins, rabies, WN booster. He was supposed to get here forst thing this morning but had an emergency so will be her later. I guess I will take the entire day off and perhaps get down to the pasture and start working on fence.
Darn It . . . . . . missed my chance yesterday.
Pretty PPR filly in Beth's pasture and she's gone to work. i really have to spend more time here. :D
