Well he had calmed down a lot as of yesterday evening but still not eating. Three of us took turns going out and hand feeding him. He would eat a couple of handfulls and lose interest. I left him out over night since he was pacing very little. This morning still no pacing but still did not eat overnight. Got home this afternoon to see him out grazing and relaxed. I came around the corner of the storage building to see Porcy standing about 20 ft. from him. Yes in the same pasture. She must have jumped fences to get in with him. He is calm and happy and eating now. Still not eating grain but at least munching hay and grass. Guess we will have a new bundle of joy late January 08.

Well, if she's bred, you may as well leave her with him. Make them both happy! :D

I agree...sounds like all he wanted was company. Can't blame him. Being a stallion should not condemn a horse to a life solitary confinement.

If you remember when we got Porcy, we seperated Carlos from the Geldings and put Porcy in with them. She would have nothing to do with them. she went in the gait made a big circle in the pasture and over two fences straight in with Carlos. On her first day. And we must of caught her 4 or 5 times with the same result. Before we gave up and let nature take its course. I was expecting to go ahead and breed her but was going to give it a few months. I may have to tie a sand bag to each of Plumas rear legs. She seems to be taking it well though.

Wooooo Hooooo He just downed a scoop of sweet feed in one sitting. It took him since Sat. to eat just two and now one in 5minutes. Guess he has gotten the blood back to the proper end.

and now he will feel at home.
wish I had a mare here to breed the stallion to, but well the boys will just have to figure out not to bend over.

Congratulations! Now I have a bigger excuse to come down more often. I have been wanting to ride a fino.
