you have him being worked by a very small person. The colt is barely
14hds tall.

LOL...she does help dispel the image of 'ponies'....LOL

(it should be illegal to be so petite and thin!)

looks like she is doing a good job though! So happy for you Helene!

Sorry, she is newly married and she could be the mother of a few people here on this board.
She told me today that there are people who don't take her serious because she looks so tiny and young. BUT my colt takes her serious. She doesn't mind me watching the training sessions and so I am, hopefully, learning a few things, too. I am very impressed with how she handles my horse. Yesterday, he got a full mouth and body massage. He seemed to love it and the lesson that followed was very relaxing.

haha! cute!

another trick(and i've seen it used on here) have the handler stand farther away from the camera than the horse is.
.......like we cant tell that's what they are doing!

This picture was not "doctored" ....the horse stood "on the same plane" as the lady. She is just real small.

If she's a talented trainer, she can make a MINT training hunter/jumper ponies and I'm not kidding.

The pony hunter/jumper market is huge worldwide. The more training a pony has, the more it's worth. The biggest problem they have is training the ponies. Some ponies are so short, that the average adult can not ride them and most are being schooled by youngsters (who are not trainers), after they finish ground training.

Case in point, our former Miami resident, Margie Goldstein Engle. I remember seeing her work ponies at Gladewinds (later sold and turned development after a big fire).

Margie no longer works "ponies". She is at the top of her game and married a prominent Vet years ago. AGA (American Grand Prix Association) recently named her Rider of the Year for the TENTH TIME.

Margie may look like a little flea on these huge horses, but she has a hel'va bite.
