Diana - too dignified for a 'tickle spot'
Boogie - along the top of the neck under his mane
Emi - anywhere!
Bronce - withers
Katie - left shoulder blade
Emelina - she's not sure yet
Pete - top of his withers and under his mane
Boo - forward edge of his left shoulder

Rio LOVES to be scratched under his neck just below his cheek bones. He lifts his head waaay up in the air and wiggles his lips. Mico like to be scratched along his mane line, or what is left of it after Prince has chewed it up.

What a GREAT topic!
Q has a lot of scratchy-itchy places:
Fave is her withers, the fleshy part just behind the shoulder blade.
She also likes the forward bony part of the shoulder blade scratched.
Chest and lower neck.
Rump, especially near her tail.
She also likes it when I clean her ninnies.
Another fave is the belly midline, but according to her I don't scratch it nearly enough.
She has a 'tree' (used to be a young pine, now it is a 'stick') that she turned into her belly scratcher and she stands over it and rocks forward and backward to scratch her belly.
If she scratches her belly raw this summer from the bug-bites again, I'm chopping the thing down. I'm going to be fanatical about fly spray, TriHist and FlaxSeed this season.

The crest of Phoebe's neck is one of her favorite places to be massaged. She also greatly enjoys having her ninnies cleaned.
After I ride I MUST throw a towel over her head and rub all over aggressively. It is a ritual and she will get indignant if I don't do that for her.

Chase does the SAME thing!! And if for some reason I don't have a towel he is trying to rub on me like white on rice...and that is just icky....

His forelock, if I'm combing it he'll lower his head and almost fall asleep. Or well I guess it's his relax spot or something

Most of ours will relax when you rub their faces. I think what Sandy is thinking of is when that top lip sticks Way out and the head begins to twist over on it's side and the they start to lean into the scratch and loose their balance and ... you get the idea. Must release endorphins or something. Pete can get his head almost upside down. I just found Boo's tonight while cleaning his stall.

Monty loves his chest and neck - when he really gets relaxed and happy - he pulls you to him and gives you a hug ! LOL
