Yeah...my checkbook took the same bite a few weeks ago!

Well, at least it is OVER! (poor JR, but such is life!)

Congratulations on the PGs!!! Do you know expected due dates?

Yeah Codesas last breeding date was Sept 12 and Mistys was Oct 9

Latest babies I have ever had took a couple times to catch Condesa this year...Misty caught first try but remember I had just bought her...they will NOT be rebred in 2007...back to spring maybe in 2008.

Congratulations on the pregnancies, Shelley! Did you just find out? If so, at this stage do you confirm pregnancy by ultrasound or palpitation or ?? (I'm wondering because I had Mila bred last fall -- late Sept / early Oct like your girls. The vet did an u/s 30 days later and said "no PG" but she hasn't come back into heat again . . . .)

Vicki...if you want to know for sure..get an ultrasound!!!
Besides..it looks really cool to see the whole foal (skeleton)...

PS..Mila has LOOKED PG every spring since her two year old year.....her flank always looks "big"...

Ah . . . that helps. I keep looking at her, thinking she looks bigger than I'd expect -- not really fat, but just kind of wide in the flank area -- which keeps me wondering, since I don't have a huge amount of faith in the vet, anyway . . . .

I was not going to rebreed so I did not sonogram (plus I spend money doing Condesa and Star early on before they caught) Condesa is huge already so I knew with her..I had Misty palpated anyway because she looked small and has not been into heat..

Usually I do 17 day sonograms and when pregnant then just tease for the next heat..
