The mare Chrissy is riding is a trochador mare (no galope). I forget her name. She is one of the finest trained horses I have ever ridden.

The drive was LONG, but we had a great time! Chrissy felt thrilled to ride that mare, she has a grin from one ear to the other, but would like to know her name, she was so busy enjoying herself she forgot to ask.

WOW....I am able to log in!! Thanks for posting the pics. I have some I think are clearer but I can tell you it won't be today. I drove home 1 1/2 hrs today after getting to my parents 10 pm last night. I have very cranky children!!! I will be lucky to get them up ( the pics) this week!!

I had such a great time yesterday. It was great to meet "the gals from Mass". I wish we all lived closer to each other. The farm is beautiful, the info given was informative, gorgeous horses, great hospitality. I have met Luis, etc other times at shows and have never seen anything other than nice horses and nice people. Always willing to give advice.

I LOVE that the horses are out 24/7. It is a pet peeve of mine. Of course the run'ins are HEATED!!!!!

I agree Jodi - the care is top notch and Luis really loves the horses.

I remember meeting them for the first time when Fandango had its first show. Leo and Luis were so friendly and welcoming to all who attended, inviting everyone to free food/drinks at Leo's motorhome! I love them both. 8-)

I don't know Lisa, we talked about that but about 1/2 back we all felt how looooong the ride was and well.....at the moment we are thinking of staying close to home, but that may change as the memory of that long car ride fades.

I am thinking the calender is getting pretty full, I have 2 rides in VT I HAVE to go to, or I would be letting an old friend down.
and we have 2 dates in June booked. 1 in July.
Aug looks like just topsfield. then we are beck to Sept.

It is the weekend after the 4th of July - the 13th or so......Show runs Fri-Sunday afternoon.

There are TWO 4h horseshows in Aug., one is our club 4h show in which you are GOING to ride. There is one HRC in July too. Yep, the summer is booking fast. Oh and the gals from the neighborhood are camping in MS in June, but I think that is the weekend of the clinic. Good grief, summer is already flying by!

o ya and KIM, by the way I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO out of that show, My brother inlaw will be here from FLA, and we will be planning a big 50th anniv. for my inlaws 8-)

Great pictures...and we had a great time...loved meeting all the BBers. We went up on Friday ...took 5 horses...we learned so much from Luis...he had my Torey looking almost like a champion...WE had 3 horses that were having trouble with gait..Luis had them gaiting in no time and showed their owners lots of tips for getting them to gait well.
They are hoping to have a trail ride there sometime in the summer (to make up for the one we missed because of weather.) I sure hope it will be when I can go...

Macadoo, I too loved meeting both you and Jodi from the BB, It was funny we had talked for a while before I figured you were someone from the board. I would love to ride with everyone up there, but we will have to see how the summer plays out. Right now, we are all underwater and the electricity JUST came back on.

Yes, the buckskin is "Little Man in spanish"...he is a real doll...His owner was Tracy (mom of Rorie who rode a few horses)...and the gray was Bonnie's...Siempre Viva de Santa Ana (aka Xena)...both are great horses....It was Tracy and Rorie's first clinic...they had just gotten into pasos last Spring...and promptly had to have one each...They both board at Nola's and Bonnie and Xena live nearby...
