well we have had lots of rain, some lightening, thunder, hail, and tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings today and the past 2 days.
It was even raining when the sun was out once today.
Old man weather just can't decide what to do!!! But no we don't have snow!!!

Blue skies and sunshine up here! Temperature? About 60F today, but they're talking rain and/or snow for the rest of the week. *mumble. grumble. grouse.*
The only upside is that they were wrong last week and we didn't get any rain or snow, so maybe they're wrong again now.

We have standing water everywhere....thankfully we DIDN'T get the foot of snow as predicted, but it rained for hours, and winds were very bad...Rutland had hurricane force winds and the power is still out there, looks like a war zone, trees, power lines and poles down everywhere...
We were lucky to escape THAT and still have our power....but I am thinking we will NEVER dry out....horses are confined to their paddocks and are NOT happy, but I'm afraid they will snap a leg getting to their pastures because no one can 'walk' thru it, they have to charge across it at 'mach 2'....and there are spots you can sink in over a foot deep.... so, no playground for horses...and forget about trying to FIND a place to ride..

The thing I can't figure out is why so many of you think that RAIN is better than SNOW! I'll take snow any day! You don't get wet and if it stands around, it isn't in mud puddles.

I prefer snow, too. It's so much cleaner.
We had a huge downpour last night, lasted several hours, had little creeks forming on the road and puddles in the paddocks. Also had some thunder and lightning. I wish we could save some of this moisture and use it in the dry season. Here it's either "all at once" or "nothing at all". Everything turned green over night. And we have mud everywhere....
