Just had on the news a mass shooting at Virginia Tech, and possibly 29 victims killed, plus more injured. So very sad. I have visited that university before; it is a beautiful place. They have an excellent equine program there.

I just saw a breaking update on TV. First I had heard of it, unlike if it RAINS in New Orleans and they interrupt programming every 5 minutes. This is a big deal, and no one was telling about it. Shameful, New Orleans.
What a horrible, horrible thing to happen. I can't imagine the terror.

I heard it on the news before I ran to the store - there were so many rumors they were trying to gather all the facts before they went on line with it - can't blame them - they were a tad busy getting details and didn't want to cause a panic -

we have friends, 3 brothers, who went there, but I think they're all elsewhere now, glad they are. Our society is wrecking itself in several ways. By allowing all those murder training video games to be sold, just because the companies are big doners to the political system, they're allowing a whole generation of young people to be trained to murder without a second thought. I've heard an interview with the top military trainer, who also get's called on to investigate all those major school shootings. And he's found direct connections between those games and all the shootings. He's tried his best to get those videos banned, but the lawmakers won't listen to him. Money talks, no matter how many kids get killed.
