This time I need them for my dog Maggie. She is a five year old Cocker Spaniel who has Lupus. We believe she is having another outbreak and really bad this time. Two weeks ago her left front paw swelled up to three times it's normal size. It was also oozing so I put ointment on it and wrapped it. Monday it was no better so took her to the Vet. They put her an an antibioitic and steroids. By Sat. she was running a fever and three of her paws were swollen so we took her to the emergency clinic where they changed her Meds. Two days later, she is a total mess so took her back to the Vets. She had a high fever and all four paws were swollen so they kept her until Thursday night. Brought her home and by seven the next morning shes back at the office-now she has to stay till Monday They have her on Prednisone(spl.), another medicine, an antibiotic, and a medicine to coat her stomach. Stopped to visit her today and while her feet look a little better, it has now affected her ears and eyes. Come Monday we will have to make some hard decsions if she doesn't show some major signs of improvement.
