Troy did pretty good on him.
Next Tuesday, Delgado will be done by the trainer.
These 2 horses are like Yin/Yang. So different in everything. Now we just need 2 in between lol
This trainer works pretty well with Troy.
He also is dealing with both their (Del & TJ) green issues well too. Both have totally different problems as well. 1 doesn't like to go when*he* thinks he is done, the other just wants to go go go go.
TJ went in and out of gait but seemed to be doing better. TJ is very big on testing people.
I'll get pics next week too.

2 weeks ago TJ decided to start rearing. We were not sure the reason for it. It came out of the blue. When I put nose pressure on him towards the end of our riding session he went up. I got off changed headgear into a looser rope halter and he reared with Troy.
Today he started off on one a bit snug (no one on his back for that one), then one looser (with trainer on), then none (with Troy on), then back to a loose one (with the trainer on) after he pulled his stunt with Troy.
Trainer wanted to see his reactions and wanted to be prepared. As time went on he saw no rearing so went to the looser tie down.
After we were almost done with the session he _finally_ did it with Troy. Troy got off and the trainer got back on.
Today it was when you are stopped and ask him to go, he will back a few steps and give you a signal of him starting to rear.
It was better after today and will just be worked on.
He likes to do what he wants and he is learning that is not ok. He thinks when he decides he is done, that's it human should stop.
It's not going to be a permanent thing.
When we feel him start to resist when we want him to go forward, we will encourage him forward before he gets a chance to rear.
This is why I called the trainer in for him. I was not taking a chance on my butt or Troys.
Since he is a very green horse and has been sitting almost all of his 5 yrs, when he came here we asked him to work and he thought being a pasture ornament was better.
He'll get better the more he is ridden and worked with.

Troy and TJ look great!!!
I think with TJ's laid back nature they will be a good team once TJ learns the ropes!
Great pics!

Worked on TJ flexing today. He wasn't too thrilled to begin with but as the session completed he was doing pretty good for a first day. It was nice to ride him around practicing one rein stops.
