That's exactly what I've been doing Linda, and it works great! Except for when it conflicts with the picture in her mind, which it sometimes does!
Actually, she's been exceptional lately. I have no complaints.

pam, just relax, dont get caught up in the rush, mosey along and have fun. it's just trail riding with a little edge, that's all. it's you, your horse, and the trail.

Good luck!! I like Ed's advice, especially for the first ride. It sounds like she is turning into a nice little trail horse, I bet you both will have fun!
