View Full Version : Off to Missouri!
i leave today to bring my mare home! Yippeee! i hop a bus around 3:30pm today and 19 hours later (yes, ughh) i arrive at the Donoso's in Missouri! they have had Totoa for over a year now getting her feet back under her and have done a wonderful job! :D
then on Wed the 17th the friends that i help out with the Clydes, arrive to take the two of us home to Minnesota. she gets to ride home in style in a brand new Exiss slant load. :D
i don't know what i've done to deserve two such wonderful sets of friends but MAN, i sure am grateful! cross your fingers for us for a safe journey!

Dana...you are the most dedicated horseowner I have ever known...Godspeed to you and so glad to hear of Totoa coming home!
is 3 o'clock NEVER going to get here?
not looking forward to the bus ride but for $75 and gas at $3 a gallon today, it's a necessary evil.
However! would i in no way reccommend you letting your young daughter do this! i couldn't believe how many young girls were hit on when i came home last year. i'm older than dirt so they leave me alone. :D
i am SO fortunate to have both the Donoso's and Jordi's as my best friends! a very lucky woman i am! after hanging around pasos since 1977, i found the one who is my soulmate. i'd of never guessed it would be a mare. i was always sure it would be a gelding. WEIRD!
but the Donoso's have done what two vet clinics (yes, and almost $6000) and five "expert" farriers couldn't do. one year ago, i thought i would have a eight year old pasture ornament for a horse. i wish i could post the picture of Totoa and T.J. Donoso and the HILL they had just rode a couple of months ago. but he would KILL me if i put his picture on the internet. so pictures when i get home!
then there is Carol N's friend, Rae who was an invaluable help in me making my decision on getting her down to missouri! Thanks for that Carol! ((hug))
Hubby also says if i wake up on the bus and there is a sign saying . . . .
"ATLANTA-72 miles ahead" I should know i'm in trouble . . . .

 Well, you've been on the bus for an hour now, and I'm sure you're anxious to get there and see Totoa.....only 18 more hours to go..... Well, at least you can get some sleep....?
I'm very happy for you, Dana...you can finally get your mare home, and have some happy trail rides while the weather is only getting better! :D
