It’s a girl!

Today (5/9/07), after admiring the foal photos others have posted, I am now proud to finally post our first foal of the year. We were so thrilled to have a healthy baby with no complications, and on a lovely warm spring day. And, better yet, it’s a girl! We have been wanting a filly from our stallion (now gelded) since we started breeding him, but have only had colts. Outside mares that we covered seemed to have fillies, but we always got boys. Finally though, we got our little girl, and she is worth the wait. ;-)

I am so thankful that The Lord blessed us with a beautiful, happy, healthy filly, and she is already gaiting circles around momma. I think she is my favorite foal we have had thus far. I’m in love. :love No name ideas yet.

Mari just can’t seem to believe that horses come in that small of a size. He’s been standing by the fence all day watching the foal in disbelief. :lol:

Awww... I love babies. What a beauty. I love the way the hair swirls around the top of her head. She is so cute. It is so cool when a new baby is born everyone has to look and watch as if they are amazed as well. Congratulations!
