I took Frost to the Ocala Classic PFHA Paso Fino show last weekend. The show was HUGE and also with temps in the 90's very hot. OH well this is Florida after all!

The show ran from Friday May 4th through Sunday May 6th. Frost and I showed on Friday. We were in 2 classes..the Bella Forma Stallion class and the Novice Pleasure class.

The SRPFHA did a beautiful job on the arena! It was just gorgeous with all kinds of palm trees and bushes and flowers. They put in some nice box seats with white vinyl fencing around the arena......even 2 sounding boards one on each side of the island of trees and flowers in the center of the arena! I have never seen this facility look so wonderful.....

Here's a pic of Frost in the Bella Forma Stallion class.....Thank you so much Helen for taking time to come to the show and take pictures of Frost and I.....you are terrific!

And one after the class outside cooling down. I was the only one needed cooling down.....Frost was calm as a cucumber but I felt like I was going to pass out in that heat! Guess I'm getting old.......

OH yeah we got a 3rd place in Bella Forma and a Blue Ribbon in the Novice Pleasure class.

Sorry there aren;t more pics but I'm lucky to have these........

No, I didn't attend that show, Carol.
She is referring to another Helen.
I'm sure you thought one Helen in the world was enough, right?

Congrats
He is beautiful. :D

Just want to say here too that Deb and Peterson & Smith, the breeding barn she works with, do a great job! You don't have to worry about your shipment when you order from them...it comes on time, and done right!!

OH sorry.......the pics were taken by my friend Helen Box. She lives across the lake from me here in Weirsdale. Fl and is the proud owner of Alejandro de Vez (Coral LaCE son). She is a super lady and always there when you need a helping hand. Helen wasn;t feeling well (bad allergies) but still took out the time to drive to the show and help me out....she is a special person.........

While changing out of my Bella Forma outfit......I somehow broke the heel off my riding boots! They have a one piece formed rubber sole and heel together. Well this boot was in no condition for me to be riding in it and the only other shoes I had was a white pair of sneakers...not the classiest shoe apparel for a show! Well good ole Helen hunted down some duct tape ......not an easy task I will add..and we managed to tape the heel back on so I could ride in my Pleasure class.

I took a picture of that boot as a momentum . These are my favorite comfy riding boots but are on their last leg so to speak. My new ones are so tight and not broken in but I don;t think the heel will fall off of these for quite a while.......

Here's the picture of the boot with the duct tape on.......the professional photographer did get a shot of that boot while I was in line up.....I'm sure the judges noticed it too but no one said anything.....I won;t go to a show again with only 1 pair of boots!

I don't know....these boots are still in really good shape! Maybe I can get a shoemaker to fix em? I still haven;t thrown them out yet.......the leather is still in great shape! I think some really good glue will do the trick! From now on though my show kit will include....superglue, duct tape and maybe some of that black electrical tape...that would have blended right in!

Hey...I told Deb...the only things in a cowboy's toolbox are duct tape, and baling wire...

Oh and maybe a can of WD-40... ;-)
