He's really good, but I don't like his galope too much, I like them a bit more relaxed

Most of the ones I have seen (minus Lori's ride on her new boy-her boy looked nicely relaxed :D ) have been more I would not say collected, but, tight maybe?

I looked at some other videos and a handful had galopes that looked odd. At an angle instead of straight. Is this common?

I'd say they look as if they push them too much in the galope. Don Pepe's galope in the eight for example .

The gallop in DON PEPE was his problem in the competitions in Colombia and the reason for taking less points. I agree with you. I like the gallop more relaxed, but his trot is wonderful, He is a great horse.
