Ok, I'll admit it...I'm an Idol-holic...but I don't wanna recover!!!

I've got to tell you, I've never seen three finalists change so much in a season...they are incredible!!! This season started out really blah...but man, oh man, tonight all three simply wowed me!!! :eek: :eek: :eek:

My choices are 1) Melinda Doolittle...2) Jordin Sparks) and 3) Blake Lewis...but all three have really come a long ways...fantastic!!!

You know, Lori...I wouldn't be disappointed at all if Jordin won...she's great!!! The one that really surprised me is Blake though...I think he's come the farthest growth-wise of any of them...

:idea: I'm gonna win why?? I don't know, maybe just because I'm too far along in life to worry about it, I've just gotta win, won't consider any other options, ya know, the game of life. And i believe it's a case of he who ends up with the most toys, looses!!!!! much greater issues at stake.
(BTW I don't know what "american idol" is, i guess it's something on TV but i don't watch normal tv and never have more than on a remote occasion.) :-?

You know, Reuben, since my horses ARE my life, once in awhile I like to break away and experience something totally frivolous, mindless, entertaining, and enjoyable, and watching American Idol is one of those things...along with reading ghost stories...hahaha...both are totally harmless and give me a little bit of an escape from breeding, training, shots, feeding, where to find hay...pickin' up poop....etc...sigh... ;-) :lol:

Sparks has the most to gain from winning while the other two have the most to lose from winning.

All three will get contracts but Jordan needs that year of grooming and maturing to really make the most of the opportunity. Just hope she has enough brains to run as soon as the Idol contract expires.

Blake is my favorite, but I do not want him to win because he needs more freedom to do his thing. Jordin is my second favorite, right up there with Blake. I just love her glow and positive attitude. Winning this would send her over the moon!

Melinda, well I hope that she does not win. I agree that she is amazing singer. She was my favorite at first but then I started thinking about it more. She is a professional, this is an amateur contest. Anyone that comes in with their own entourage of stylists and such should send off an alarm. I also think that her "humility" was a little bit false.

Blake needs to do his own thing without being stuck in an AI contract. Same with Melinda.

Jordan wou dhave that year to learn more about her and what she wants so at the end of the contract, she can head in that direction.

For me the top 3 is not about who sings best, but what is best for them and their careers.

Jordin all the way! I have liked her since the beginning. She is more "real" about showing her joy and is very comfortable up there for how young she is. She has a great disposition. Was not surprised Melinda left, she is great but not the same attitude as Jordin. I like Blake, and he will go far as the other non winners, and second place people have done, Look at Clay :D

I bet it will be Jordan next week and so far has played out right. Not as far as best singers, but what is best for them IMO.

I don't much care now that Melinda is gone. But *I* think it should be Jordin. I have a sneeky feeling that the millions of teenagers voting will choose Blake, tho.

My sentiments exactly, Linda...I'm afraid since it's mostly teen girls that do the cell phone messaging...Blake is gonna win those votes. If that happens, think I will opt out of watching next season...except for the first segments when they weed out the really BAD ones...that's always good for a laugh...

You know, I said that last year after Taylor Hicks won. But I couldn't do it. Once you start watching - they have you for the whole season. . .

I think it's for the best though. . . Melinda doesn't need to be in a contract where they dictate what you sing, and everything you do. . . Blake is a good entertainer, and gets lots of votes from the kiddo's, so he might just win. I really like Jordin, and she could use the year to grow and find herself while their giving her all the crappy songs to sing. . . look at Kelly Clarkson - The first year of songs under the contract were not that good. She's coming out with much better stuff afterwards when she has some say-so. . . JMO.

I mean look at Chris Daughtry - He was surely better than Elliott Yamin (even with his new teeth), and the others that were left. And he's done better. I don't think it matters if you win, if you're good. You'll get a career, and it may turn out even better than the winner.
