1st show of the season (in the rain)

We are in the tail end of a late season nor'easter, but as they say, the show must go on and it did! I took my daughter, Christina and her ever reliable steed, Mico. I also brought her friend Tina and her "brand new, very own, first horse" You might remember this girl buying the 1/2 Paso at my barn, Mikka, just last week. Here she is with her new horse:

Mikka did us proud today. She took 2nd place in the trail class and 1st in the gaited horse class. :shock: All the relatives showed up to see the new horse in the family and Mikka gave pony rides to small cousins.

Mico picked up a new kid who needed a horse for the lead line class. He did a great job with a kid that had never been on him before.

Oh, and like normal - completely forgot to take a picture of my kid. She took 3rd in Equitation and 4th in Pleasure and 2nd in Gaited horse

Oh, forgot to mention. After one class, I noticed Chrissy chatting with a lady I didnt' recognize so I walked over to see who was petting Mico and talking excitedly. Apparently she saw Chrissy riding Mico and couldn't believe her eyes!!! It was a Paso Fino!!!! She had just bought one in FLa in January and hasn't found any other ones around here yet. And low and behold she drove from the North Shore of Boston to watch a friend at this show - and here one was!!!! I told her there was a bunch of us Paso folk down here on the South shore and I gave her this website. So maybe she will turn up here!

And, so you know - the SUNSHINE is on it's way.....started out cloudy here but ended up being a pretty decent day after all! I even got out on the lawn mower while Tori was napping! Oh - and used the new 'toy' - walk behind 'weedeater'......Michael picked it up yesterday and boy does it work!

We backed off of telling her someone else had bought her. After rethinking it, we decided she would have been devasted. So he mom just gave her the bill of sale. She was very happy. Her mom took pictures, I haven't seen them, but she was kinda numb, took a couple hours for it to sink in. Since then she has been her almost daily and has run around school talking about her "new" horse and inviting friends over to see her.
