the little boy who cant reach the stirrups is my five year old grandson. he rides in the wrangler's division for children ages 5 to 11 years old. the wranglers ride the course, but dont shoot from horseback.

haha, barb! i know better than to give you ANYTHING to work with! i guess i should be upset that she called me an animal! hey, you never did fess up about where you got that shot, now did you?

Terry, the shirt is by panhandle slim western wear. got it from ebay, for a fraction of the original cost. it is one of my favorites too. makes my shoulders look bigger...... ;-)

abbie, i thought about what you said about the bridle being simplistic, and i had this thought. think about all the horse pictures you have seen where the horse has so much hardware on their head it is ridiculous. this pic shows that sometimes less is best!

bit hanger with bit!
works for me.

Keep it Simple ?

Right, Ed.....I don't use all that stuff - I just use a slip ear headstall, and that's it. Can't get enough of 'em either!

In the NYC parade I will have a Jaquima on for the 1st time, but NO pisador....it's too much headgear for me, but it's beautiful handmade Colombian tack that is absolutely gorgeous, so I think I can "bear it" for one day.... ;-)
