What I found when I went out for a 'midnight' (1230) barn check.......

More pictures in the morning from work.....actually closer to noon since I have to teach from 9-11......

Mom and baby are doing fine, Marci is protective but not overly so.....milk bar has been found.........baby pooped.......I'm off to BED!

It is a COLT........no name yet.....

Vet is coming this afternoon, I plan on taking the rest of the day off after my class this morning......little guy knows where the milk bar is......Marci is being VERY GOOD but Lucy and Lunits are UPSET they can't see!! (Marci is locked in the stall -was VERY protective outside and threatening the other two across the fence.....better for al to keep quiet today!)

Congrats on the beautiful new boy! It is hard for me to believe that Margarita is already almost 6 weeks old! She outgrew her foal halter in the first month!

I am kinda jealous that Marci had a colt - we love our filly but I am so partial to the steady traits of a gelding!!!

We love the girls but the boys really are more forgiving and sweeter and have a better sense of humor. We ride our girls more but we play with our boys more.
